NASA’s Orion space capsule splashed down off the coast of Baja, California, on Sunday, December 11th, completing the Artemis I flight test after a 25.5-day mission to orbit the Moon. NASA says it tested Orion in the harsh environments of deep space as part of the agency’s preparatory undertakings, focused on being able to successfully and safely fly astronauts back to the moon on Artemis II within the next decade.
