SCOTUS allows transgender athlete to compete on woman’s sports team pending litigation on state ban

On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled that a 12-year-old transgender individual in West Virginia can stay on their school’s female sports team amidst an active lawsuit against the state's ban. West Virginia is one of 20 states who have passed legislation restricting transgender athletes.
