‘True courage’: Kim Russell commends WV girls who refused to participate in sport with trans athlete

Independent Women’s Forum Ambassador Kim Russell praises the five West Virginia middle school girls who refused to participate in a track-and-field event against a boy who identifies as a girl. “The issue is we’re making 13-year-old girls do the work that the adults are not doing and that is not fair,” she says. “There is already so many pressures on these kids and to ask them to carry this torch is really not fair.”
