Two National Institutes of Health researchers charged with attempting to smuggle monkeypox virus

DOJ officials confirmed that two foreign nationals associated with the National Institutes of Health were detained by law enforcement at the Detroit metropolitan hub for attempting to transport unauthorized vials of the monkeypox virus.
