Watch: Hegseth on Memorial Day: 'We owe a duty to those who have fallen in war'
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth speaks on Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery. He is joined at the annual event, in northern Virginia, just across the Potomac River from the White House, by President Donald Trump and Secretary of State JD Vance. The event is to honor and remember those who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Members of the U.S. military who had at least one day of active service and received an honorable discharge are eligible for above-ground internment at the cemetery.
