New CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss is reportedly revamping the network's weekend staple "CBS Saturday Mornings," with the show's two co-anchors reportedly being axed.
Weiss was tapped as the network's new editor earlier this month, and is expected to bring a more conservative voice to the left-leaning network after building a reputation for being critical of antisemitism and “woke” elites in mainstream media.
Another major change to the network is the hiring of former Wall Street Journal editor Charles Forelle as one of Weiss' top deputies. He will at least serve as a deputy editor for several months.
Weiss has also made personnel changes since taking over several weeks ago, including by firing the former head of the outlet's standards and practices unit, Claudia Milne, who ran the division responsible for the moral, ethical and legal implications of CBS programming since 2021.
CBS Evening News co-anchor John Dickerson on Monday announced that he was departing the network at the end of the year, after working for CBS since 2009.
