House Oversight Chairman James Comer on Thursday reportedly secured interviews with some of former President Joe Biden's top officials, including former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Comer requested the interviews earlier this month, having asked Jean-Pierre, former White House counsel office spokesperson Ian Sams, senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates, and chief of staff Jeff Zients to sit for interviews.

Zients told the White House, in an email reported by the New York Times one day before Trump's second inauguration that “I approve the use of the autopen for the execution of all of the following pardons.”

In Biden's term in office, he granted 4,245 pardons and clemencies as compared to 245 issued by Trump in his first term.
