Online influencer Andrew Tate left Romania and arrived in Florida on Thursday after Romanian prosecutors lifted travel restrictions that allowed him to leave the country.

He was joined by brother Tristan Tate. The brothers are dual citizens of the U.S. and the U.K. In 2022 they were arrested and charged with human trafficking, money laundering and rape in Romania, resulting in them not being allowed to leave the country.

Romanian prosecutors lifted the travel ban but say they have not stopped their case against the brothers, who have denied the allegations.

“They no longer have a travel ban," said the brothers' lawyer, according to CNN. "The prosecutor, at the request of the lawyers, modified the content of the obligations previously imposed."

The U.S. reportedly put pressure on Romania to ease the restrictions on the brothers. President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Richard Grenell, met with Romania’s Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu at a conference in Germany.

Hurezeanu said that even though the Tate brothers were discussed, there was no pressure from the U.S. to lift restrictions.
