Suburban neighborhoods still under threat from Los Angeles wildfires
The largest wildfire is called the Bridge Fire and has swept through the San Gabriel Mountains which is northeast of central Los Angeles.
Wildfires have been spreading around Los Angeles, Calif., over the past few days with authorities warning that they could harm suburban areas.
There were three major fires that scorched over 110,000 acres, according to NBC News.
“We’re really expecting to make some great progress on this fire today due to the coastal marine influence, the lowering of temperatures,” Lisa Cox, a spokesperson for the response team said, according to the outlet.
The largest wildfire is called the Bridge Fire and has swept through the San Gabriel Mountains to the northeast of central Los Angeles.
Homes and cabins were further destroyed in Mount Baldy and Wrightwood by a 51,000-acre blaze.
More than 5,000 homes were evacuated in Running Springs.
