Cruz ribs Biden ordering fighter jets to down balloon after reports it belong to hobbyist club
An Illinois-based hobbyist club says its balloon, which was floating off the west coast of Alaska, is missing.
Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz is ribbing President Biden for ordering an F-22 fighter jet to shoot down a UFO over the U.S. last week, after reports it could have been a science project off the coast of Alaska.
"To be fair, Biden is providing is powerful deterrence for any high school science clubs that might try to invade America …." Cruz tweeted.
The senator also wrote in a separate statement, saying, "President Biden needs to tell the American people whether this is true."
His comments follow the hobbyist club the Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade saying its balloon, which was floating off the west coast of Alaska, went missing the same day Biden a UFO shot down over Alaska.
In total, Biden has since early February ordered a Chinese surveillance ballon, then three UFOs shot down, including the one downed Feb. 10 over Alaska.
