House Democrats invite former Giuliani associate Lev Parnas to testify in impeachment hearing
The Oversight Committee is set to hold a hearing Wednesday with former Hunter Biden business associates Jason Galanis and Tony Bobulinski.
House Democrats invited Lev Parnas, a former associate of Rudy Giuliani, as a witness during Wednesday's second public impeachment hearing against President Joe Biden.
Parnas, who was sentenced in June 2022 to 20 months in jail for campaign finance offenses, wire fraud and false statements, can "debunk the bogus claims at the heart of the impeachment probe," said Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, according to the New York Post.
Republicans pushed back on the Democrats' choice of a witness.
“It’s telling the Democrats didn’t call any of Hunter Biden’s business associates who claim his father’s innocence because they know their testimony won’t withstand public scrutiny,” a spokesperson from the Oversight Committee told The Post.
“Instead, they are relying on a convicted liar who claims Joe Biden never met with a Burisma official when in fact he dined with one.”

Devon Archer was invited to the hearing but he will not attend, nor will Hunter Biden himself.
