The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Tuesday revealed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had arrested an array of criminals with sexual abuse, drug-related, and weapons offenses.

Sharing the results of recent ICE operations with Just the News, the DHS highlighted five criminal illegal aliens apprehended by law enforcement as part of President Donald Trump's mass deportation initiatives.

“Yesterday, the brave men and women of ICE arrested criminal aliens for child sexual abuse, false imprisonment, illegal possessions of weapons, and driving under the influence,” acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement. “If you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will find you and arrest you. Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, ICE is targeting the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens and removing them from our communities.”

Since returning to office, Trump has worked to remove as many as 22 million illegal aliens from the country. As of late June, DHS had physically deported 948,000 illegal aliens and encouraged an estimated 2.2 million self-deportations.

The "Worst of the Worst" roundups aim to draw public attention to the criminal, and often violent, nature of many of ICE's targets for deportation.

Topping Tuesday's list was Candido Ramirez-Arcega of Mexico, who was convicted of sexual abuse of a child.

Bruno Andres Anez-Hernandez of Venezuela was convicted of sexual assault and lewd/lascivious acts with a minor.

Manuel Montes-Garcia of Mexico was convicted for false imprisonment, weapon offenses, and driving under the influence.

Humberto Lira-Ortega of Mexico was convicted for drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a dangerous weapon, and driving under the influence.

Fernando Valtierra-Villasana of Mexico was convicted of possession or purchase for sale of narcotics.
