Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday afternoon threatened to deport terrorists and their family members who are in the United States through a visa.

The announcement comes after Egyptian national Mohamed Sabry Soliman allegedly used a makeshift flamethrower on Sunday to attack participants in an outdoor vigil in Boulder, Colo., for Israeli hostages in Gaza. Authorities said 12 people were wounded.

Soliman has been charged by the state with 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder, though it is not clear if anyone died.

"In light of yesterday’s horrific attack, all terrorists, their family members, and terrorist sympathizers here on a visa should know that under the Trump Administration we will find you, revoke your visa, and deport you," Rubio posted to X.

The Justice Department has also charged Soliman with a hate crime involving actual or perceived race, religion, or national origin.

The FBI has called the incident a targeted terror attack.
