ICE accuses Democratic congressman of doxing an agent who was injured by rocks
Carbajal said that he had a right as a member of Congress to oversee federal operations, but was denied entry.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement got into a spat with a Democratic congressman who they accused of doxing an agent who had been harmed by rocks.
"Yesterday in Carpinteria, I witnessed ICE agents using unnecessarily aggressive and militarized tactics against local farm workers and peaceful protesters," Rep. Salud Carbajal, D-Calif., wrote on X last week. It was appalling. This is not how we keep our communities safe."
Carbajal said that he had a right as a member of Congress to oversee federal operations, but was denied entry.
ICE alleged that Carbajal was part of a group of violent protesters who tried to disrupt agents who were executing a search warrant and then doxed an agent who got injured.
“Rep. Salud Carbajal was part of a violent mob of protesters attempting to obstruct federal law enforcement as they executed a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility,” ICE wrote on X. “He cites ‘peaceful protesters’ when, in fact, these rioters were launching rocks at officers, injuring at least one ICE employee who was left bloody. According to agents on the ground, the congressman doxed that same ICE employee by sharing his business card with members of the violent mob.
ICE went on to say that Carbajal valued violence over the rule of law.
