Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs on Tuesday criticized the FBI for misleading the public regarding the shooting at the 2017 GOP baseball practice by saying it wasn't domestic terrorism.

"I think every American should be upset by that," Biggs said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "I mean, I am. But look, this is an agency where the head of the agency was spying on Donald Trump and trying to entrap him in his campaign."

A new congressional report came out Tuesday that the FBI “misled the public” for years in claiming a sniper's attempt to kill Republican congressmen at a June 2017 baseball practice was "suicide by cop”, when it was in fact domestic terrorism.

"We should not be surprised that that agency and the leaders of that agency would then cover up that, that this guy was a radical," Biggs said.

The 27-page House Intelligence Committee report concludes “the FBI’s bottom line – ‘the FBI does not believe there is a nexus to terrorism’ – was based upon falsehoods, half-truths, and manipulations of the known facts.”

"Why would we be surprised that they would cover up that a radical leftist who hated Donald Trump, hated everybody who supported Donald Trump [also] hated members of the House who were Republicans?" Biggs said.
