Top general warns African terrorist group might soon strike within the US

The U.S. military’s top general in Africa warned that African terrorists could soon strike within the U.S.

Terrorist groups located inside the Sahel region, which includes Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger, have increased their presence within the last three years, according to U.S. Africa Command head Gen. Michael Langley.

The Hill Newspaper reported that Langley called the region the "flash point of prolonged conflict and growing instability." 

He also said it is the "epicenter of terrorism on the globe."
