Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly telling agency employees they don't have to respond to an email sent out by Department of Government Efficiency's Elon Musk asking them to detail what work they did last week.

"HHS leadership continues to work with OMP officials on how best to meet the intent of yesterday's notice to employees while being mindful of the sensitivity of the information and initiatives ongoing within the HHS Operational and Staff Divisions," Kennedy reportedly said in an internal email of the weekend, according to Bulwark reporter Sam Stein. "Employees are therefore directed to "pause" activities in answering the OMP email," the email continued.

Musk's email was reportedly sent to all federal employees," resulting in a varied response from agency leaders.

"Consistent with President @realDonaldTrump’s instructions, all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week," Musk wrote on the social media platform, X on Saturday.

FBI Director Kash Patel reported told his staffers not to respond.

Musk said that if employees did not respond to the email, it would be taken as a resignation.
