Illegal Somali migrant with fraud convictions allegedly tied to multiple Minnesota Democrats
Somali migrant Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, who entered the United States in 1995 after being deported from Canada over welfare and asylum fraud, has had a deportation order against him in the U.S. since 2004.
An illegal Somali migrant who was recently arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers was reportedly photographed with several high-profile Minnesota Democrats over the years, including Gov. Tim Walz.
According to Fox News, Somali migrant Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, who entered the United States in 1995 after being deported from Canada over welfare and asylum fraud, has had a deportation order against him in the U.S. since 2004.
The deportation order was further supported by an appeals court in 2006, but he was later granted Temporary Protected Status.
Ibrahim was also convicted in 2002 of giving false information to police and driving without a valid license in Dakota County, Minnesota. He was fined and sentenced to a year of probation. Ibrahim has additionally been issued 12 traffic or parking citations in the U.S.
An immigration judge ordered Ibrahim's removal in 2004, citing the fraud convictions and allegations.
Despite the deportation order and convictions, the Department of Homeland Security shared photos of Ibrahim on X on Friday that showed him with well-known Minnesota Democrats, including Walz and Squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar.
He has also been photographed with Minneapolis Democratic City Council Member Jamal Osman; and state Sen. Omar Fateh, who lost his bid for Minneapolis mayor last month. Both men wrote letters of recommendation on behalf of Ibrahim during his immigration proceedings, according to Fox News.
The revelations come after the Trump administration announced it was ending the Temporary Protected Status for Somali migrants in Minnesota because of alleged gang activity and money laundering.
"Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great State, and BILLIONS of Dollars are missing," President Donald Trump said last month. "Send them back to where they came from. It’s OVER!"
