Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Friday accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of attempting to sabotage President Donald Trump's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin by launching a major drone strike against Russia.

"On the eve of the historic peace talks between President Trump and President Putin, Zelensky does this," Greene posted on X.
"
Zelensky doesn’t want peace and obviously is trying to sabotage President Trump’s heroic efforts to end the war in Ukraine.

I pray peace prevails!"

Accompanying Greene's post was a map that purported to show the drone strikes across the Russian west via open-source intelligence.

The Trump-Putin summit is set to take place in Alaska on Friday, though the scope of the planned discussions remains somewhat unclear. Trump has previously told European leaders he would not negotiate territorial matters with Putin and Zelensky has already rejected the idea of ceding land to Russia for a ceasefire.

The war has raged since February of 2022 and shows no signs of winding down as the Russians post breakthroughs across the front.
