Oklahoma Rep. Brecheen says Biden can't 'wordsmith' his way out of the southern border crisis
There have been recent reports of individuals from other countries entering onto U.S. military bases and being taken into custody.
Congressman Josh Brecheen, R-Okla., said that President Joe Biden doesn't have a good defense for the crisis at the southern border as security concerns continue to increase.
"If you're Joe Biden you know you're so far upside down ... because this kind of stuff keeps popping up," Brecheen said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "And you can't play defense. You can't say enough things.....you can't wordsmith your way out of these types of tragedies you brought upon the American people because of failed policies."
Earlier this week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that two Jordanian nationals were taken into custody after an attempted security breach at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Northern Virginia.
In March, a Chinese national was arrested after driving onto a Marine Corps base in California and refusing to leave.
"That's why he's upside down...... it shows in the polls," Brecheen said. "I think he's thinking, 'we've got nothing left to lose to try to get on the debate stage with President Trump.'"
Recent polls have shown former President Donald Trump leading in swing states such as Pennsylvania.
Trump and Biden agreed on Wednesday to participate in two presidential debates outside of the traditional debates hosted by the non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates.
