President Donald Trump on Friday announced that three male "narcoterrorists" were killed in a kinetic drone strike on a drug boat in the United States Southcom region, which includes Latin America.

The strike comes less than a month after Trump started striking alleged drug ships that were trying to sneak illicit drugs into the U.S. The first two strikes were on ships from Venezuela, but Trump did not specify where the most recent ship was from.

"On my Orders, the Secretary of War ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility," Trump posted on Truth Social. "Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking illicit narcotics, and was transiting along a known narcotrafficking passage enroute to poison Americans.

"The strike killed 3 male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel, which was in international waters," he continued. "No U.S. Forces were harmed in this strike. STOP SELLING FENTANYL, NARCOTICS, AND ILLEGAL DRUGS IN AMERICA, AND COMMITTING VIOLENCE AND TERRORISM AGAINST AMERICANS!!!"

The administration has defended the strikes by claiming that other attempts to curb the illegal flow of illicit drugs like fentanyl into the country have failed.

“What will stop them is when you blow them up, when you get rid of them,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio told the Associated Press during a trip to Mexico earlier this month.
