Trump: 'We' have 'total control' of Iranian air space
Trump did not elaborate on the scope of American involvement, though it appears that American equipment was used in the operation, at the bare minimum.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that "we" had achieved control of Iranian air space amid ongoing Israeli strikes on Iran, seemingly confirming U.S. involvement in the operation.
The Trump administration insisted repeatedly that American forces were not involved offensively in Israel's attack on Iran and were merely working to defend Israel from counterstrikes. His Truth Social post, however, seemed to suggest a greater degree of coordination between Washington and Jerusalem.
"We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured 'stuff,'" he said. " Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA."
