Trump names federal housing official Pulte as acting director of National Intelligence

President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning named Bill Pulte as the acting director of national intelligence, replacing Tulsi Gabbard. 

Pulte also leads the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

Gabbard announced last month that she would resign from the role effective June 30, according to CNBC.

Trump made the announcement on Truth Social.
