Biden aides considering preemptive pardons for Trump critics like Cheney, Schiff: Report

Aides to President Joe Biden are pondering whether the president should issue preemptive pardons for some of President-elect Donald Trump's harshest critics, according to a report on Wednesday.

Former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, Sen.-elect Adam Schiff and Dr. Anthony Fauci are among the names under consideration for the pardons, according to Politico.

It is unclear if a preemptive pardon for individuals not facing criminal charges would have legal standing.
