Hunter Biden declines to apologize, recant comment on Epstein allegedly introducing the Trumps
The former first son claimed Epstein introduced Melania Trump to her now-husband President Donald Trump and that the connections between the Trumps and Epstein are "so wide and deep."
Former first son Hunter Biden on Thursday declined to apologize or recant his recent "false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statement" about First Lady Melania Trump's alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The first lady threatened to sue Biden for $1 billion earlier this month if he did not recant or apologize for the comment. The former first son claimed Epstein introduced Melania Trump to her now-husband President Donald Trump and that the connections between the Trumps and Epstein are "so wide and deep."
"Channel 5" podcaster Andrew Callaghan posted a new video of Biden responding to Trump's threat on Thursday, stating he would give the former first son an avenue for responding to the demand.
"F--- that. That's not gonna happen," Biden told the podcaster. "I also think they're bullies, and they think that a billion dollars is going to scare me. I have this to say to them: if they want to sit down for a deposition and clarify the nature of the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein – if the president, the first lady, want to do that, and all of the known associates around them at the time of whatever time that they met – I'm more than happy to provide them the platform to be able to do it."
Melania Trump's attorney, Alejandro Brito, claimed Biden's rhetoric had been "widely disseminated throughout various digital mediums" and tarnished his client's reputation.
The president said he backs his wife's efforts to sue former President Joe Biden's son, allowing her to use his own lawyers to do so, and that the late-financier had "nothing" to do with his introduction to Melania Trump.
