First Lady Melania Trump is promoting the expanded use of artificial intelligence in classrooms, arguing in a new opinion piece that the technology could help deliver a “world-class education” to children and reshape how students learn in school.

In the op-ed, published by Fox News, Trump wrote that AI has the potential to provide students with access to the “highest level of human knowledge,” framing the technology as a tool that could benefit families, educators and students alike.

She emphasized that students will eventually fall behind if they aren't fluent in AI.

The first lady’s comments come amid a broader push by her office to integrate technology into education through her “Fostering the Future Together” initiative.

The effort recently brought together representatives from more than 40 countries in Washington, D.C., for conversations related to ways to expand access to education and digital tools for children worldwide.
