Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who was the head of President Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, called on Trump to release the Jeffrey Epstein case files.

Musk's comments came in response to Trump's Truth Social post that defended Attorney General Pam Bondi and her handling of the Epstein case. He argued in the post that no one cares about Epstein anymore.

“This is in the running for worst post ever made," Musk wrote on X in response to a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social post about Bondi and the Epstein case. “He said ‘Epstein’ half a dozen times while telling everyone to stop talking about Epstein."

In a separate post, Musk wrote: "Just release the files as promised."

Trump said during the 2024 campaign that he was open to releasing the case files along with the John F. Kennedy assassination files.

Musk described the situation regarding the files as Trump’s “Achilles’ heel" and a "very big deal" that he has to address.

“What the hell kind of system are we living in if thousands of kids were abused, the government has videos of the abusers and yet none of the abusers are even facing charges!?” Musk wrote.
