President Donald Trump will reportedly attend the men's finals tennis match at the 2025 U.S. Open in New York City on Sunday, a White House official told Fox News on Thursday.

The president's attendance will mark his first appearance at the professional sporting event since 2015, when he was booed by tennis fans. The 2015 appearance occurred just months after he announced his first presidential campaign.

The line-up for the final match has not yet been decided, but the semifinals take place on Friday night. The first match will be between tennis star Novak Djokovic, who is shooting for a record 25th Grand Slam championship, and Carlos Alcaraz, and the second semi-final match is Jannik Sinner versus Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Although the match will mark Trump's return to the U.S. Open, he has been at other professional sporting events over the past year, including attending multiple UFC fights and a Pittsburgh Steelers game last October.
