White House Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought on Monday claimed there was "no downside" to the president's "One Big Beautiful Bill," which was signed into law last week.

Congressional Republicans united to pass the massive legislation last week, which marked a significant achievement for President Donald Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune.

The legislation has been hailed as a "groundbreaking" bill, with an emphasis on taxes, federal spending and government policy that could significantly shape the next generation of the American experience.

Vought told Fox Business' Larry Kudlow that the bill was "all good," and that there were none of the downsides that typically accompany major legislation.

“It is a home run. There’s like, no downside to this bill," Vought said. "This is not one where you have to say pros and cons. It’s all good. That is the story we’re going to continue to explain to people as we focus in on each aspect of the bill."

Some skeptics of the legislation have highlighted predictions that the bill could add trillions of dollars to the national debt, but the White House has rejected the speculation, and claimed it will reduce the deficit and stimulate economic growth.
