Trump was taking questions from the press before leaving for Palm Beach on Friday
President Donald Trump was hit in the face at Joint Base Andrews with a boom microphone during a press gaggle on Friday.
There was a brief pause before a reporter asked him a question.
"She just made television tonight," Trump said after looking in the direction of the person holding the mic. "She just became a big story tonight, right? Did you see that?"
The identify of the person is unclear. The incident drew responses from many on social media.
Kari Lake, special advisor to the United States Agency for Global Media, wrote on X in response to video of the incident, asking who the person was holding the mic that hit Trump.
