Trump hits 'too late' fed on interest rates

Trump hit at the Fed’s tendency to be late to cut interest rates, as many Americans would feel relief as a result of even a modest reduction.

President Trump in a Truth Social post Friday criticized the Federal Reserve and former President Joe Biden's economic policies, urging a reduction in interest rates to lower borrowing costs.

"If 'Too Late' at the Fed would CUT, we would greatly reduce interest rates, long and short, on debt that is coming due," Trump posted.

He also claimed that Biden's focus on short-term debt has been costly, saying, "Biden went mostly short term."

Trump argued that inflation is no longer a significant issue, saying, "There is virtually no inflation (anymore), but if it should come back, RAISE 'RATE' TO COUNTER."

Trump concluded the post, asserting that "Borrowing costs should be MUCH LOWER!!!" to reduce the financial burden on the country.
