Trump says he will try to save Afghan allies of U.S. military from forced return to Taliban

President Trump said on Sunday that he will attempt to save Afghan allies who aided the U.S. military from being forced to return to the Taliban.

Trump's post on Truth Social was in reaction to an exclusive Just the News report about U.S. allies in Afghanistan who had refuge in the United Arab Emirates but might have to return to the Taliban. 

"I will try to save them, starting right now," he wrote.

A senior administration official told Just the News that Secretary of State Marco Rubio was intervening with the UAE to make sure none of the Afghan allies of the U.S. were deported.
