Trump says US will help with Asia earthquake response

President Trump said on Friday that the U.S. will help with the response to the earthquake in Myanmar. 

The earthquake death toll surpassed 1,000 on Saturday.

"We're going to be helping," Trump told reporters at the White House on Friday.

Trump's statement comes as his administration closes the U.S. Agency for International Development, which provides international humanitarian aid.
