President Donald Trump on Wednesday night teased that a "major trade deal" will be announced Thursday morning during a "big news conference."

Two officials told Just the News that the most likely partner for the first major trade deal was Great Britain, who dispatched officials across the Atlantic this week.

The president did not signal what country had agreed to the trade deal, or what the details of it would be, but his administration has been working on trade deals with 17 out of the United States' 18 biggest trade partners recently.

"Big News Conference tomorrow morning at 10:00 A.M., The Oval Office, concerning a MAJOR TRADE DEAL WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF A BIG, AND HIGHLY RESPECTED, COUNTRY. THE FIRST OF MANY!!!" Trump posted to Truth Social.

The announcement will come the same day that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is expected to meet with Chinese trade officials in Switzerland.
