White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Tuesday that President Donald Trump floated adding Penn Station in New York City and the Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C., to a list of places named after him.

The president told reporters last week that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer made the suggestion to rename the buildings after him, which Schumer denied, stating it was Trump who did so, the Washington Examiner reported

The White House appeared to clarify that it was Trump who floated the idea when discussing the restoration of $16 billion in federal funds that was previously designated for the Gateway rail tunnel project that links New York and New Jersey.

“It was something the President floated in his conversation with Chuck Schumer, as for the funding, the president has addressed that separately himself,” Leavitt said in a press briefing.

The renaming suggestion comes after the Kennedy Center was renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center, the United States Institute of Peace was renamed the Donald J. Trump United States Institute of Peace and a new class of warship was dubbed the "Trump-class."

There is also the TrumpRx project, which is a direct-to-consumer portal that is considered instrumental in helping his administration lower prescription drug costs in the U.S., the Trump accounts and a Trump Gold Card.
