The White House on Tuesday announced that the United States had collected more than $150 billion in tariff revenue over the past six months as the Trump administration works to revamp international trade agreements.

"WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN AGE ✨

Thanks to the leadership of [the president], the U.S. has generated over $150B in tariff revenues within the past 6 months," the White House posted on X.

The announcement came in the wake of Trump unexpectedly landing a trade agreement with the European Union to leave in place 15% tariffs on imports from the continent and to secure additional trade concessions from the bloc.

The influx of revenue has lawmakers mulling how best to use the funds, with GOP Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., floating $600 rebates to the American public.
