White House touts report showing plummeting net immigration

The White House on Thursday highlighted a report from the New York Times asserting that net immigration had dropped in every major metropolitan area in 2025.

The Rapid Response 47 account reshared a map of the United States, color-coded by the size of the drop in net immigration over the year. That made showed large swathes of the country witnessing net immigration drops of more than 50%.

Among the major urban areas, NYC saw net immigration drop 65%. In Chicago, that figure was 62%. In Dallas, 52%. Denver saw a 72% drop while El Paso saw a 95% drop and Los Angeles saw a 67% drop.

The graphic presented a striking visual representation of the Trump administration's results in curbing immigration since he returned to the White House.

Trump has sought to deport as many as 22 million illegal aliens during his 4 years in office.
