Israelis criticize Trump's peace deal with Iran, as the country will remain a threat to the region

Israelis are expressing dissatisfaction with an agreement that is slated to be signed between the U.S. and Iran. 

Vice President JD Vance said on Monday the deal will ensure that Iran never has a nuclear weapon, but Israelis in the press and social media are calling the deal a "catastrophe," as the country will remain a threat to the region, The Washington Post reported. 

The reaction raises concerns about whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters will get behind the agreement or seek to derail it. In interviews on Sunday, Trump accused Netanyahu of jeopardizing the deal. Netanyahu didn't immediately release a statement about the agreement, suggesting he is not happy with it. 

Vance said on CBS Mornings that the full text of the deal will be released this week.
