Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delayed the release of his annual medial report, which revealed he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, for fear Iran would use the results as propaganda,

Netanyahu, 76, underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate in December 2024. Doctors more recently had discovered a malignant tumor in his prostate of less than a centimeter, CNN reported

Along with a statement on X about the surgery, Netanyahu also released two letters from doctors stating the tumor had not metastasized, meaning it hadn't spread to other areas of his body.

He said the "spot disappeared completely" and thanked medical teams at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu didn't say when he was diagnosed or the timeline of his treatment, but unnamed sources told CNN that he was diagnosed several months ago and underwent radiation therapy two and a half months ago.
