Michigan Wolverines defeat UConn Huskies 69-63 to win NCAA basketball national championship

The University of Michigan Wolverines defeated the Connecticut Huskies by a score of 69-63 Monday night in the finals of the NCAA Tournament National Championship. Michigan led most of the way.

Elliot Cadeau was the leading scorer for Michigan with 19.

Connecticut was trying to win the title for the third time in the last 4 years, and are now 6-1 in national championship games. Michigan is now 2-6 in national championship games.
