Trump defends ongoing Iran war in new interview after running anti-war 2024 campaign
“I don’t like these endless wars. This is not an endless war. We’ve been doing this for three months,” Trump says
President Trump defended the ongoing Iran war in a new interview after he ran an anti-war 2024 campaign.
“First of all, I didn’t guarantee no war. Why would I have built the strongest military in the world?” Trump said in the "Meet the Press" interview that aired Sunday, referencing his winning campaign in 2024.
“I don’t like these endless wars. This is not an endless war. We’ve been doing this for three months,” he said.
The war started on Feb. 28.
Trump argued that he is doing the country and the world a "service” by preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
