White House bars CNN from Air Force One

The White House has barred CNN from traveling aboard Air Force One with President Donald Trump on Saturday, preventing the network from participating in the presidential press pool during his trip to Tennessee.

CNN said Friday that the network had been scheduled to accompany Trump as he traveled to the state for a college football game.

The White House effectively confirmed CNN’s exclusion in guidance distributed to reporters outlining Trump’s Saturday schedule, which did not include the network among the outlets assigned to the trip.
