AG Todd Blanche confirms resignation of DOJ prosecutor
U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Jason Reding Quiñones left his post this week, marking the latest in what is expected to be a string of exits from the administration after a devastating midterm loss for Republicans.
Attorney General Todd Blanche on Friday announced another departure from the Department of Justice, following the resignation of Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon this week.
U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Jason Reding Quiñones left his post this week, marking the latest in what is expected to be a string of exits from the administration after a devastating midterm loss for Republicans.
"We are grateful for Jason’s leadership in combatting violent crime, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and transnational crime, including the indictment of Raúl Castro. Jason has served the Department multiple times over his distinguished career, and we thank him for his service to this country," Blanche posted on X.
Post-midterm departures are not atypical and the administration is expected to rearrange many senior-level staff, though few definitive changes have thus far become public.
