Former Maryland Republican Gov. Larry Hogan's ex-chief of staff, Roy McGrath, was apprehended on Monday following a lengthy manhunt.

McGrath failed to appear in court in mid-March to face charges of embezzlement, wire fraud, and falsification of documents stemming from an incident in which he allegedly orchestrated a false $233,648 severance payment from Maryland Environmental Service before joining Hogan's administration.

The FBI located McGrath in Knoxville, Tenn., on Monday and apprehended him, but not without incident. "The subject, Roy McGrath, sustained injury and was transported to the hospital," the FBI told CBS News.

The bureau and U.S. Marshals Service had each posted a $10,000 reward for information about his location.
