'Worst of the worst': Latest ICE roundup nabs kidnappers, pedophiles, violent criminals

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Friday announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had apprehended several convicted violent criminals in its latest roundup.

Under the Trump administration, DHS and ICE have worked to implement the president's mass deportation agenda, with a focus on the "worst of the worst" violent offenders.

Recent reports have suggested that the foreign-born population, between illegal aliens and legal immigrants, has declined by roughly 3 million since the start of Trump's second term.

“The brave men and women of ICE law enforcement work every single day to remove illegal aliens from our communities,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said. “Yesterday, ICE arrested killers, pedophiles, attempted murderers, and other public safety threats. Under President Trump’s leadership, we will never apologize for arresting and deporting illegal aliens in order to keep America safe.” 

Topping the Friday roundup was Cesar Abraham Castellon-Flores of Mexico, who was convicted on two counts of manslaughter and aggravated assault.

Filberto Matus-Morales of Mexico was convicted for continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Obed Pineda-Ordonez of Guatemala was convicted for attempted murder and first-degree arson.

Hugo Alexander Sanchez of El Salvador was convicted for use of a firearm when committing a felony, kidapping, and abduction.

Adan Martinez-Onofre of Mexico was convicted of conspiracy with intent to distribute meth and heroin.
