DeSantis campaign donations are slowing down
After a robust fundraising period in the second quarter, Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis has experienced a slowdown in contributions. Despite a strong initial fundraising amount of $20 million, there has been a notable decrease in donations following his announcement to run for the White House. Approximately 15 percent of individual donations were $200 or less, and recent filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) revealed that the DeSantis campaign confirmed the departure of fewer than 10 event planning staffers. This is out of a total campaign payroll of around 90 individuals during the second quarter.
