Speaker McCarthy: ‘This is the strongest debt ceiling we ever had’

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) argued in support of the newest budget limit deal while addressing reporters in the Capitol on Tuesday. Rep. McCarthy called the bill the “strongest debt ceiling” the U.S. has ever had, especially in comparison to when Republicans held the majority in the House, Senate, and Presidency.
