Father of Madison, Wisconsin, school shooter arrested on felony charges
Jeffrey Rupnow's daughter opened fire on Abundant Life Christian School on Dec. 16, killing a teacher, a 14-year-old student, and herself, as well as injuring six others.
The father of Madison, Wis., school-shooter 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow has been arrested on felony charges after his daughter killed two people and herself in December.
Rupnow's father, Jeffrey Rupnow, 42, is scheduled for a court appearance on Friday after being charged with two felony counts of intent to sell a dangerous weapon to a person under 18 and one felony count of contributing to the delinquency of a child, The Hill news outlet reported.
His daughter, who went by the name Samantha, opened fire on Abundant Life Christian School on Dec. 16, killing a teacher, a 14-year-old student, and herself, as well as injuring six others.
Jeffrey Rupnow told police he had given two handguns to his daughter as gifts and gave her the access code to his firearm safe, according to a criminal complaint. He also said she became interested in guns after he took her shooting on a friend’s land.
In December, police said that Rupnow's father was cooperating with the investigation, and there were no plans to charge either of the parents with a crime.
