Investigators search Pennsylvania cold case files for possible links to accused Idaho killer
Suspect went to school in Pennsylvania before attending Washington State University.
Authorities are reportedly investigating Pennsylvania cold case murders in an effort to determine any possible connections to accused Idaho quadruple-murderer Bryan Kohberger.
District attorneys in multiple Pennsylvania counties are combing through old files "looking for links" to Kohberger, officials told news station King 5.
The 28-year-old accused killer grew up in Pennsylvania and attended school there before transferring to Washington State University to study criminology.
“Your natural question is to start wondering, 'is this guy wanted?'" Northampton County District Attorney Terence Houck told the news station. "Is his name out there? Did he do anything here in (my) county?"
Authorities have reportedly not turned up any evidence linking Kohberger to any crimes in that state yet. "[N]othing with respect to Kohberger has come about in our investigations of cold cases or unsolved cases to this point," Houck said.
But, he added, "we always continue to investigate and pursue leads."
