An Ohio man who is among seven people accused of plotting an attack on the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, had built up a stockpile of weapons and armor, according to a report from the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

On June 10, the FBI learned about the planned attack on the June 14 event and coordinated with local authorities to make arrests, Fox News reported

According to the sheriff's report, Tyler Proper, 19, spent $3,000 of "graduation money" on armor, vests, a shotgun and extra ammo. The weapon was a 12-gauge shotgun with the American flag painted on it. In January, Proper allegedly purchased an AR-15 5.556 caliber rifle. Both weapons had a red-dot sight and magnifier, according to the report.

Officials allege Proper also purchased a tactical vest called a plate carrier, which was loaded with .308-rated ballistic plates, a tactical bump helmet, a battle belt with loaded ammunition pouches, ammunition magazines, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

According to the criminal complaint, Proper's father told police that his son quit his job to meet up with the people he had met online, and they would conduct "missions" and "recon" together. Proper's mother had alerted law enforcement about the alleged purchases and online activity.
